泡沫サタデーナイト! (Dance Cover) Trivia

– I filmed this after a very long day; I had gotten less than four hours of sleep the night before, then I worked for eight and a half hours. I filmed this about ten hours after I got home. As I’m writing this… I haven’t gone to sleep yet. I’ve been up for over twenty hours. O__O

– This was kind of a surprise dance cover for me, too. XD I wanted to do something for Zukki’s graduation, but I wasn’t sure what. After the video for this song was released, I loved the song so much that I wanted to do the dance (though I was dead set against doing the move at the end of the chorus). At first, I was going to do it as a mini clip, then I was going to do the short version. However, I wanted Zukki’s spoken lines, and the best lead into that was Daishi’s dance break, so I had to include that, too. After finally seeing a FULL performance on Hello! Station, I decided to just do the whole thing.

– I learned the dance in just a few days which explains why I screwed up so much. Ahaha… orz (Also… no dance shot version. (-_-“))

– I did two different full takes: the one I uploaded has me moving both feet during the pointing/foot turning move in the chorus, while the second take had me with the correct foot movement (only the left foot), but the camera was down a bit too far so I got cut off when I jumped (and the window partially was cut off, too). I also wasn’t as expressive in the second video, so I ended up going with the first take. (PSA: Don’t be a perfectionist if you can help it; my stress levels were through the roof when I noticed the mistake.)

– The top I’m wearing is a blue V-neck shirt pinned up to make it shorter. I added pieces of hot pink fabric for the design and white fabric for the fringe. I didn’t even bother counting how many safety pins it took; there were so many. XD

– I got the headband I’m wearing in this video from the Infants’ section of a store. XD

– It took many viewings of many live performance clips (and the music video) to figure out the dance. orz

– For whatever reason, my camera put white lines below my shorts, by my sleeves, and on top of the armbands. Is there something about that shade of blue that makes the camera do crazy things?! XD

– I wanted to put the text effects in for “サタデーナイト!” etc., but Movie Maker didn’t have any text overlays that did what I wanted them to do, and created a green screen overlay would have meant more editing (and a video quality drop). Alas… orz

– The arm bands I’m wearing are my Captain America wristbands (turned inside out) plus some white fabric cut into fringe and tucked in to the wristbands.

– I had to start the spin in the dance break a bit early to compensate for having tennis shoes on carpet. … They’re not good for spinning. XD

– Super self-conscious about my stomach here… XD orz Stupid allergy…

– Though this is definitely Zukki’s song, my favorite part is Sakura’s last solo line~. ♥

– I suppose it’s obvious, but I dressed a little more like Zukki even though I was following Daishi’s part.

– If I remember correctly, the last MM dance I did this soon after it came out was… “What is LOVE?” maybe? If not that, maybe “Ai no Gundan.” Wow. It’s been a while. (^_^”)>

– I had to render and upload this three… maybe it was four times, because something keeps throwing the timing off. O_O It looks perfectly timed in Movie Maker and Media Player, then I upload it, and it seems off. … YoooouTuuuuube! *shakes fist*

– I’m really going to miss Zukki. I still have the poster I made for her birthday back in 2012; I took a picture of me holding it while wearing my Zukki outfit from my dance cover of “One・Two・Three,” and it was included in the birthday book that was sent to her by fans, so I know she saw it~. TT_TT

I guess that’s all for this one. I hope it was okay~. (Sorry again about the mistakes. It’s really killing me that I can’t do a better take, but my legs are still not in good condition. orz) Thanks for watching and reading!
