Surimu Channel Blog Pages Revamped!

June 15, 2018

I did a bit of reorganizing for my blog pages (located in the sidebar on the right)~. Here are the changes:

– The page formerly titled 「いつか。。。」 is now called 「→ Future Dance Covers…」 and only includes the names of Hello! Project dances that I’d like to do full dance covers of in the future. As always, dances listed are subject to change.

– 「☑ Completed Dances」 will now only list full or short/shorter version dance covers that I’ve done.

– 「♪ MINI Clips ♪」 now have their own page~! This page lists completed MINI Clips as well as dances I’d like to do for future MINI Clips. Dances listed are subject to change.

That’s all for this post~. I’ll be making another announcement before the end of the month~. Thanks for reading! ^__^

エエジャナイカ ニンジャナイカ (Dance Cover) Trivia

June 15, 2018

– This was filmed on May 7th.

– This is my 200th H!P dance cover~! ❤ (When counting my H!P dance covers, I did not include redone versions, tributes/medleys, collaborations of dances that I also uploaded a solo version of, other UP FRONT artists (UP UP GIRLS, Bitter & Sweet), or my dance cover of “Otakebi Boy WAO!” (due to its unavailability).

– I was worried that my outfit would look too much like the ones I had for my dance cover of “SAMURAI GIRLS,” so I tried to add a few things that those outfits didn’t have (namely the one sleeve and the headband).

– The sleeve and headband were made from the same cut of material that I used to make my “Iroppoi Jirettai” skirt’s ruffles.

– The arm accessories are actually 1) mesh, though you can’t tell in the video and 2) socks that I cut up to turn into arm accessories. XD Yes, mesh socks. I never wore them as socks; I bought them (on clearance) specifically to use as a dance accessory some day (I bought them at least three years ago). XD

– I loved this song right away~. It also reminded me very much of something Kanjani8 would sing (the musical style at least). =)

– This dance marks the last time I wore what I referred to as my “wakey wakey” socks (they were olive green with eggs and bacon on them XDD); after I finished filming the dance, I noticed a hole in one of them. orz … XD

That might actually be it for this one~. Thanks for watching and reading~! ^__^

胸さわぎスカーレット (Dance Cover) Trivia

June 3, 2018

– This was filmed on May 18th.

– I’ve wanted to do this dance forever because it was (I believe) the first non-Morning Musume H!P song I ever heard, and I loved it right away~.

– I usually follow Momo or Captain for Berryz dances, but I had kinda sorta started “learning” Miyabi’s part waaaay back in the day (she was my initial favorite), so I thought I’d stick with that. … Plus, for that one move where I swing my head/hair back and forth and then pose, Momo and Captain have the secondary move that would look kind of weird solo. XD

– I had been planning this outfit forever! I bought the ribbon and gold medallions/chains something like… three years ago?! I bought the red pants on YesStyle last year specifically for this dance. (Isn’t it crazy how much they fly around?! XDD)

– I had always planned on changing the outfit a bit because the original wasn’t really my favorite. (A ruffly, light pink top with red-orange, super-wide-legged pants that have bright blue ribbons and gold chains…? orz XD)

– I love, love, LOVE the arm movements during the first part of the dance break! That was one of the reasons I definitely wanted to do this dance~. =D

– I’m not a huge fan of the weird leg-swinging steps during the intro/transitions/dance break. =/

– I had attached the blue ribbon to the pants by two safety pins each (top and bottom) and a bunch of double-sided tape. … As you can see in the dance, the double-sided tape lost its stickiness. XD I reeeally didn’t want to keep doing the dance over, though (that outfit was unbelievably warm x_x), so I had to leave it. orz

– … I’d kind of like to redo this dance in jeans and a T-shirt just to show that I can do it better when I’m not worried about my outfit falling apart. XD

– I think the same nerves that I had for “Nanchatte Renai” appeared for this dance… this song that is so special to me… will I do the dance justice? I did so many takes trying to get it right. You can see how red my face is. XD O__O

– I had originally planned this dance for my 200th H!P dance cover, but I changed my mind, because the next one I’m putting up is super-fun and happy-sounding. (^_^”) This is, instead, my 199th H!P dance cover~.

– I almost forgot to upload this today because I’m stressing out over a doctor’s appointment tomorrow. O_O Tomorrow is also my sister’s birthday~! =D

That’s all for this one~. I really hope it was okay. (^_^”) Thank you for watching and reading~! =D

Outfit for Upcoming 胸さわぎスカーレット Dance Cover

May 28, 2018

I FINALLY DID IT~! Berryz Koubou’s “Munasawagi Scarlet” was (I believe) the first non-Morning Musume H!P song I heard, so it has a very special place in my heart~. Also, it’s been on my to-do list since I started dancing. XD Here’s what I’ll be wearing for my dance cover!

Munasawagi Scarlet Outfit

I did change a few things about the outfit (because, to be honest, I thought the original outfits were a bit… not… my… favorite XD), but I tried to keep it fairly similar~. I’ll be uploading this on June 3rd. Please look forward to it~! ^__^

そうじゃない (Dance Cover) Trivia

May 23, 2018

– This was filmed on May 1st.

– I had to pin my hair back because the wind kept whipping it in my face. XD orz

– I wore light blue in honor of Haa-chin: because I was following her part and because she’ll be graduating next month. orz (Also, I’m so unbelievably sick of white, silver, and white-and-silver outfits (and black with white and/or silver)! (-_-*))

– The special effects were for a little variation… and also the fact that there was some giant water stain or something on the garage door (?) so I had to edit it out in post, but I couldn’t fix the parts where I walked in front of it, so I had to change the camera’s focus. XDD

– I wanted to try to do a dance outside before the pollen got too bad… but it was already pretty bad at this point. O_O (It is unbelievably AWFUL right now. O___O TT_TT)

– I kind of wanted to split screen at the least part of this… but split-screening doesn’t work as well outside. =(

– I always like the arm movements during the chorus (… but there’s not too much to this dance…). (^_^”)

– This marks the first time I’ve done all of the dances for one of Morning Musume’s triple A-side singles! =D

That’s all for this one~. Thank you for watching and reading~!! =D

Outfit for Upcoming そうじゃない Dance Cover

May 22, 2018

Here’s the outfit I’ll be wearing for my dance cover of Morning Musume ’16’s “Sou ja nai.”

Sou ja nai Outfit

I wanted to do a dance to commemorate Haachin’s graduation (though it’s over a month away (^_^”)), but I had already done a lot of the dances for singles she was in–at least, the ones that had dance shots, so I followed her part for this song (I already have different parts chosen for the other dances I haven’t done yet orz). I also wore her color for the outfit~. I’ll be uploading this dance tomorrow (May 23rd). Please look forward to it~! ^__^

Surimuchan’s Dance Bloopers 4

May 22, 2018

You might be wondering what’s going on in some of these bloopers… so I’ll just explain each one.

1 – Punched the wall (you can hear that one well enough XD)
2 – One of the safety pins holding my skirt together popped open
3 – Forgot to take a brightly-colored Band-aid off my finger
4 – Left arm accidentally swiped my hair across my face
5 – Wristband was undone and flopping around (that face I make… XDD)
6 – Ran into the wall
7 – Momochi USB that I was wearing as an accessory fell off (didn’t keep for actual dance)
8 – Lost my balance while turning in heels
9 – Forgot to put my retainer in before filming (you can see the gap in my teeth where the false tooth goes)
10 – Lost my balance again XD
11 – Flipped scarf over my shoulder
12 – Scarf got caught while spinning arms (just like in my original dance back in 2009!)

涙の色 (Dance Cover) Trivia

May 13, 2018

– This was filmed on April 7th.

– I was going to wear jeans like Nakky did, but I don’r own any jeans that are skinny enough to fit into boots comfortably. XD orz

– My hair might look a bit strange… I just had a few pieces sectioned off and twisted back before pinning them. (^_^”)

– The dance break took the longest to learn… probably because it kept switching angles in the dance shot. (-_-*)

– The opening/transition moves are my favorite~. =D

– This was my 700th YouTube video (including Private and Unlisted videos)! (If we’re only counting Public videos, though, it’s video #671.)

– Last year’s Mother’s Day dance was “Iroppoi Jirettai” and 2015’s was “Black Butterfly”… I’m sensing a pattern. XD (2016’s was “FOREVER LOVE” because it had some faster moves.)

That’s really about it for this one. Thank you for watching and reading~! =D Happy Mother’s Day, Mom~!! ♥

Outfit for Upcoming 涙の色 Dance Cover
